thanksgiving images

here are some images from outside on this thanksgiving sunday that i wanted to share with you all. here's a leaf in the tree on our front lawn. we have no idea what kind of tree it is and can't find anyone else who can tell us either. i've looked on the net and not found it yet. if you know then write the blog and let us know. it sometimes grows little red cherry like fruit and has flowers in the spring time. it's probably some obscure sort of crabapple.

the yellow leaf was lying between two pieces of limestone that, until last winter, were one solid piece of limestone. one very cold night and crrrrrrack! i noticed that just after i had taken the previous picture, the red leaf had fallen to the ground so i placed it beside the yellow one for this picture.

here's the sky in the evening. i'm thankful for so much i couldn't begin to list it all here. but the people who know me know that i am thankful year 'round and not just on "the appointed day".
