pumpkin seed mandala

last night was hallowe'en here in peterpatch and so the annual pumpkin carving took place. my daughter lexi had already scooped out all of the insides of the pumpkin and had washed and rinsed all of the seeds before i got home. what was really cool for me though was that she had placed the seeds into a bowl of water and i saw something that i didn't know they could do. the seeds organized themselves in the water like a helix. i took pictures and here's my favourite.

remember to click on any image on this blog to get it full-size. this one should fill your screen like a pumpkin seed mandala.

I cannot believe the mandala that the seeds made... all by themselves. It's a wonder. Huh. And Steven, thanks for sharing. LU, J.
