clark little - inside the wave

clark little is a photographer who lives in hawaii. a surfer for a good number of years, clark turned to photographing waves and we are the lucky recipients of that decision. clark sits inside the waves and takes rapid-fire shots of waves curling around him, crashing down on him and whatever else it takes to capture an until now elusive sequence that reveals another facet of the extraordinary beauty of a wave. here are some examples.

you know that these little images aren't doing his work justice so you need to pop over to clark little's site and meander through his gallery. you're bound to find a handful of images that you will covet so much that you'll be quite happy to cough up some money for them! i found looking at these images actually a bit overwhelming and found that i had to leave and come back if only so that i fully appreciated the technical and aesthetic talent of this man. .

before you go, here he is telling some of his story and sharing some of his images on good morning america.

So his wife wanted something to put up on the wall and he said, "Honey, I'll get you one!" Funny story, and incredible photographs.

It takes two to dance that tango, Steven, and I feel privileged to know one who is such a good leader!
