evening closes

being entirely protective
and then also
loving

the sun holds the day closely to itself

not wanting
to let it go
quite so quickly

or is it better at all this stuff than we are, and so does it not even think of hold and release?

valerianna - i let each day go with reluctance, knowing that i can only extend its presence through remembering. steven

valerianna - and erin. the colour is a feature of taking this photograph with a flash as the sun had almost entirely left the sky. the sky was a deep velvet colour with raw pink clouds quickly fading. the flash likely accentuated the colours. steven
