late by myself

claude monet the studio boat

late, by myself, in the boat of myself,
no light and no land anywhere,
cloud cover thick. i try to stay
just above the surface,
yet i'm already under
and living with the ocean.

Me, too.

I mean, in the ocean. I dreamed last night that some angel fish were advising me. They showed me the path to the pearly gates, a path lined with huge, iridescent shells.

When I woke up, I thought, oh! That's why they call them the pearly gates!

I hope the boat of yourself is as warm and inviting as Monet's. I could see living there is his studio boat.

Appreciate your alone time, Steven. Relish it for a bit.
