tulips

potted tulips -
the simplest and most wonderful splash of spring colour inside,
when there isn't much colour outside!

pavement art (2)

i used to be a real admirer of victor vasarely's art . . . . on my way home i noticed these little frost heaves were somehow magically free of the ice and snow that fell all day long . . .
they reminded me of victor's work . . .

pavement art

the recent ice storm created some really lovely scenes that looked almost as if they were graphite pencil renderings . . . .

the fingers of spring

the last of the ice

well maybe . . . if you love old glass then this is your most lucky time as the ice that is left is so much like glorious ripply wavy old glass . . . .

i have no doubt

i have no doubt that the beauties of winter are leaving us . . .

i came across this conglomeration of ice chunks at a curve in the river . . .

and as i worked around it, i noticed this beautiful little solitaire of ice parked on top . . . chance? coincidence?

nope. i think not . . . .
